As You Grow Older...

As I was playing tea party with my almost two-year-old, Emma, yesterday, a brilliant idea struck me! We all want our children to stay little, to be our babies forever, and we all know that it just can't possibly be that way. We all share stories with our child and our grandchildren as they grow older- that's how we as the human race keep our stories and our memories alive- long after we have passed on. Yesterday, watching my little baby girl trying so desperately to talk explain what she was saying to me, I realized- no matter what I say to her, no matter how hard I try to explain what I want to say- at her age, she can't fully understand me. If she does understand- little of it will remain with her past bedtime, much less the rest of her life. If I wait to share these stories and moments with her, who's to say that I will remember them, or that when I do remember and choose to share them with her, that she will want to listen, or even care. Anyways, Today I am starting this blog, not just for me or Emma, but for all of you that feel that very same way.  This will not be me solely posting moments of my time with my daughter, but also our adventures together and our activities that we do each day. As a stay at home mother, I have so many opportunities to put my creativity to work. I draw, I paint, I crochet, the list is endless, and I want my children to grow up letting their creativity flow as my mother did for me as a child. So I will write in this blog, and try to be as dedicated a poster as I can, at least posting 5 days a week. I hope you enjoy me and my little lady-bugs adventures and feel free to leave me comments if you have any questions or anything at all!
